Deadly Motor Vehicle Incident Leaves High School Students Dead

TITCHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT DEAD AFTER MOTOR VEHICLE INCIDENT ON BLACK HILL IN PORTLAND

A second form male student of the Titchfield high school is dead and twenty-three other students of both Titchfield and Port Antonio high schools have been hospitalized following a motorvehicle accident along the Black hill main road in West Portland on Monday afternoon.

The deceased student has been identified as 13-year-old Pranjil Jasti.

According to reports shortly after 3 p.m. the students were aboard a Toyota Hiace mini bus traveling from Port Antonio to Buff Bay when upon reaching a section of the Black hill main road the driver failed to negotiate a corner. The bus went off road and overturned into a precipice.

Twenty-four students were rushed to the Port Antonio and Annotto Bay hospitals. Jasti was pronounced dead on arrival. Twenty-three other students have been hospitalized.
