Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will return to the lineup this evening following a one-game suspension which was handed down by the team after he got into it with Kevin Durant at the tail end of their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night in an incident that spilled over into the locker room and led to Green hurling a number of expletives at Durant.
With this story taking over the basketball world this week, fans and media members alike have been waiting for Green to speak on the matter for the first time and that happened on Thursday afternoon following the team’s shootaround at the Toyota Center in Houston where they will meet the Rockets in a nationally televised game later on tonight.
As you can see from the video clip below, courtesy of Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle, Green spoke for more than two minutes about the incident itself and made it clear that the Warriors were not going to crumble as a result of a single argument between two of their biggest stars.

Considering that this is far from the first time that Green has blown up on a coach or a teammate, the fact that he is this confident in the fact that Golden State will survive this makes plenty of sense but one can only wonder whether or not we will see a similar altercation over the course of the rest of their 82-game schedule.
We’ll find out soon enough just how tightly knit this team still is soon enough as the Rockets will be very motivated to put forth their best effort this evening in a rematch of the 2018 Western Conference Finals.
