Free-agent guard Nick Young was arrested over the weekend in Hollywood during a routine traffic stop. He was cited with a misdemeanor charge of delaying an investigation and released on $10,000 bail Saturday morning.
Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Mike Lopez said Young “didn’t obey the officers, became upset and caused a delay.” Bystanders caught a portion of the arrest on video, and Young is heard clearly saying, “Am I resisting?”
While Young doesn’t appear to be causing any trouble in this video, it’s not clear what happened throughout the whole ordeal.

Young has a court date set for Sept. 19.
The 33-year-old veteran is still looking for a new team after spending last season with the world champion Golden State Warriors. The guard put up 7.7 points per game while shooting 37.7 percent on 3-pointers in 80 regular-season games. He appeared in 20 postseason games during the Warriors’ title run, but he only played 10.3 minutes per game and didn’t produce much.
Golden State’s roster is effectively full, so a return to the champs isn’t in the cards. Young was hoping the Houston Rockets would give him a shot so he could reunite with Mike D’Antoni, but that didn’t pan out either. Now, Young is facing legal trouble as he tries to get another NBA job.
